Reader Reviews
This account of young Jeshua was riveting for me. The text was well researched and extremely well written. The words flowed smoothly with descriptors that let your mind be within the story. I have often wondered what life was like back in those days and what Jesus did during those years we don’t know about. Although we don’t know what actually happened, this is a very viable account of what could have been. I think I we sometimes forget that Jesus was a human man. This novel shows this over and over again. The depth of emotion was quite palpable. I have recommended this book to all I know. Well done, John.
In a blend of imagination and historical research, this novel gives its reader an intriguing, satisfying experience of answering the mystery of how Jesus became Jesus. His entrance into our world as a symbol of compassion is enhanced by Cech’s well-written story.
To a story that has been wondered about for two millennia, John Cech has offered an erudite, compelling, and atmospheric adventure of possibilities. Both voice and tone feel exactly right and carry the reader in thrall through a credibly imagined history of nearly twenty disappeared years, Through Jeshua’s travel and teachers, living and loving, we see the evolution of his celebrated gifts and luminous being. This work is inspired.

So, the coming-of-age of Jesus must be left to imagination and speculation: informed speculation and relevant imagination, hopefully. Read more
